Piper Reece Handmade Summer Launch
This shoot was so much fun! When Chrissy from Piper Reece Handmade reached out to me about having my daughter be a model in her shoot, as well as me getting to style it, I was was ecstatic! What a dream to get to style a shoot for a product you already put on your little girl! We just love Chrissys bows and her customer service is awesome! Sadly for us she has taken a step back from her business for a bit, but has promised that she’ll be around for craft fairs and custom orders; so don’t hesitate to reach out to her if you’d like to get your hands on some adorable bows! This was a fun group of girls to work with and I couldn’t be happier with the way Shannon Hennessey Photography captured everything! The shoot took place at Richmond, Virginias famed Maymont Park and if you haven’t been there it is seriously worth it to make a trip to!
Chrissy and I discussed her ideas for the shoot and we both agreed that the girls attire needed to be simple and classic. We brought in some SueSues dresses for the littles and a few Alice and Ames for the bigger girls and supplemented with some bigger stores like Old Navy. We wanted the girls to be comfortable and didn't want their clothing to inhibit them. Chrissy is very big on her bows being ‘everyday’ not just special occasions; so we wanted things the girls could play in. For shoes we stuck with a simple sandal two pairs being Salt Water Sandals (because they can get wet). It was important for the clothes to compliment the bows, but not over shadow them. I stuck with clean solids and simple patterns to really let the Piper Reece Handmade bows shine!
