Branding Shoot Styling: Marily Cleaning Service

It’s no secret that Marily Cleaning Service is the best in the business in Hampton Roads…

My relationship with Ingrid the owner of Marily started out as me being a client of her fabulous cleaning services. From day one I was blown away but not only how clean my home was, but how professional and polished this company is! I mean she invented the boutique cleaning service experience . Ok I may have created this term but what I mean by that, is her cleaning service is tailored to each client and her marketing and how she conducts business takes hiring this cleaning service to the next level. Everything about the business Ingrid created is on point! Marily not only services homeowners, but also construction companies and short-term rentals, even staging, furnishing and restocking short-term rentals. She has thought of everything and her brand only continues to grow and expand. SOOOO when she showed up after one of my regularly scheduled cleanings and asked me to style her brand shoot, it was an easy yes!

Ingrid is also a kind individual who has created an empire here in Hampton Roads. When I was going through my issues with BII she brought me flowers and one of her heavenly smelling candles with her business logo (pictured in one of the images below).

We scheduled a session to chat in person and we went through expectations for styling. When I do a branding session I like to see the over all inspiration and goal for the shoot, everything from brand colors, to location, to the photographer. Reason being, is the clothing has to work with every aspect! Every photographer has a different editing style: light and airy, dark and moody, rich and earthy. This should also go in to choosing your branding photographer because these photos are going to be used everywhere and they have to accurately reflect your brand. In the same way the clothing you wear needs to communicate many things: it needs to communicate your business, target your audience, reflect your branding, and show your personality. Whether we like it or not overall image can sell our services. Taking the time to hire the right photographer, branding, web design, and making sure you look great in your photos is worth the investment! Go all out on your branding shoot. These ladies certainly did and it shows.

Next, Ingrid and I then went shopping. We choose Express to grab a couple outfits. Ingrid was all business and probably one of the quickest shopping experiences I’ve had which I can appreciate. She is a business woman and time is money! We selected one professional look that shows, just how much of a boss Ingrid is! Then we selected a softer, professional look, that included her famous brand color, blush pink! We also included her amazing assistant, Yancy, who she states she could not run her business without! Ingrid describes Yancy as a fashionista and already had some outfits in mind, so I simple consulted and added some flare with accessories!

Ingrid hired Emily Benson Consulting to do her branding shoot. It was my first time meeting Emily and she did not disappoint. She has worked with many businesses in the area and offers boutique (there’s that word again) services to entrepreneurs and small businesses including consulting, photography, web design, and project management. She also periodically hosts a “Chill and Prosper” workshop for female entrepreneurs. Emily was even kind enough to snap some BTS of me at Ingrids request. Anytime a client can do something like this for me, it’s greatly appreciated! Here’s some of the shots Emily got of some BTS and me posing with Ingrid and Yancy.

I was thrilled when Ingrid also decided to add my day of services. Again, anything you can do to make this day run smooth is worth it you guys! I was able to be there from start to finish, steaming the clothing and making sure the looks were laid out and ready to go. I also stepped in to make sure each item laid right in each in every picture.

This shoot was so fun! It started with yummy coffee from Three Ships Coffee courtesy of Ingrid herself. You can often run into these ladies at many of the fabulous local coffee shops, laptop in tow, working their behinds off. The shoot took place at one of the gorgeous short-term rental homes, Marily services and then we had a field trip to one of my faves, Target! I love how this shoot really captured everything Marily Cleaning does! Can’t budget a cleaning service right now or like to clean yourself? Still be sure to follow Marily on Instagram for useful cleaning tips and tricks!
