Floral in The City

I've been to New York City several times. Usually it was quick school trips cheering on the basketball team at Madison Square Garden. So when my husband surprised me and took me on a quick getaway kid free, I was beyond excited!

I got to plan our days and the first day I decided we should wonder around Central Park. I'd always wanted to go just enjoy its beauty and it certainly is a beautiful treasure within the city walls. More on our morning in Central Park and the rest of our trip can be found under the travel section of the site. Details on where we stayed, attractions we saw, and all the yummy food we ate!

I decided to highlight this beautiful Liberty of London dress for J.Crew. And it was the perfect choice for the scenery and gorgeous weather.

The fashion industry is no stranger to Liberty of London florals, but unless you have a daughter (like me) who wears hair bows, they may have fallen off your radar. J.Crew has brought them back in a big way for their summer line carrying several pieces in the various Liberty floral patterns.

I personally had to have this dress thanks to a bow that we had in this exact pattern. Naturally I dreamed of mother daughter matching pics! Those haven't happened yet, but this stroll around Central Park made the purchase so worth it (PLUS it has pockets!).

The straps are adjustable due to how the back is constructed; you just pull them tighter when you tie it for shorter straps. There's a hidden zipper down the back, which makes this dress really easy to get into. The colors are gorgeous and the pockets are fun!

I opted to pair the dress with simple gold sandals from J.Crew Factory and a simple gold bar necklace from James Michelle and gold line stud earrings from Vrai & Oro.
